As we march into March, our newly formed Student Council has planned its own “Spirit Week”. Since most of the years, St. Patrick’s day falls within our March Break, students usually miss celebrating it at school. The people of Turkey and Syria urgently need help after two earthquakes, and many aftershocks, have caused a humanitarian crisis in the region. These earthquakes are among the strongest the region has experienced in the past 100 years. Thousands of buildings have been damaged, leaving people without shelter in cold winter conditions.

Research suggests that children in Canada are experiencing less physical activity in their daily lives, leading to an increase in childhood obesity and other chronic illnesses.
