We are excited to welcome Saidat to St. Jerome. She will be kicking off our Black Heritage Month with an assembly on February 2nd for all our students! Saidat is the first black, Canadian female entertainer for children who is also an award-winning community leader and motivational speaker. Saidat’s energizing message of inclusion, social responsibility, equity, and improving self-esteem has reached over 700,000 students across Canada.
We will continue to learn further about black excellence with the sharing of resources, displays within our school, in-class lessons, and everyday informational facts on our morning announcements!
It’s going to be a “JOYFUL” month full of learning and awareness!
