We are so excited to welcome our students as we begin the 2023-2024 school year! As we have done in the past years we would like to initiate the year with a theme to bring us together. As your child prepares to start school, they may use this activity to help them get ready and set some goals and intentions. This year’s theme is “We Are A Golden Thread.” As one of the school colours, gold is a reminder of our value, strength and ability to shine. Contrasted with black and red, we use these colours with pride and a sense of belonging.
Inspired by the following quote by Chief Seattle, the message we would like students to be mindful of is that when we are at school, we form our own family. What we do to one another affects the whole. When we take this concept and relate to our environment the impact is even greater. We will continue to address this message as we move through the school year.
