Indigenous Celebration

Monday, June 26th we welcome Jared Big Canoe to our school to inaugurate the entrance to our library.  This entraceway represents our commitment to learning and increasing our aware of Indigenous culture, history, and heritage.  Jared Big Canoe is an Indigenous representative who will teach and enlighten our students with drumming, singing, and an explaination of the symbols found on our wall.

At St. Jerome, our students and staff along with the guidance of Indigenous Leader, Todd Jamieson co- created our very own St. Jerome Land Acknowledgement.  We recite this Land Acknowledgement during our morning announcements .
