The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) has issued the below Flood Outlook due to the expected rainfall and melting snow.
“The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority advises that localized flooding may occur due the forecasted rainfall coupled with the amount of melting ice and snow entering storm drainage systems, which will increase the potential for blockage and ice jams, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Watercourses will be flowing higher than normal causing local streams and rivers to become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts and bridges. Please stay away from all watercourses.”
